Day 1: Departure & Arrival in Torquay

Monday 31st August – We depart early morning for a leisurely drive down to Torquay, stopping en route for comfort breaks. We arrive at the TLH Derwent Hotel in the mid-afternoon. Take time to unwind, relax and get familiar with your home for the next four nights before our evening meal.

Day 2: Explore Torquay

Tuesday 1st September – After breakfast, we depart the hotel and head into Torquay. Our driver will provide interesting commentary about the town before you have free time to explore its shops, harbour and attractions. Late afternoon, we return to the hotel. You can relax and enjoy the hotel facilities or take a short stroll to the beach (approx. 4-minute walk) before dinner is served.

Day 3: Excursion to Dartmouth

Wednesday 2nd September – After breakfast, we head south for a day excursion to Dartmouth. Explore this charming historic town, famous for its riverside views, quaint shops and heritage. Visit Dartmouth Castle, a coastal fortress with spectacular views over the River Dart. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner is served, with time to enjoy evening entertainment.

Day 4: Babbacombe Model Village & Gardens

Thursday 3rd September – After breakfast, enjoy another fantastic excursion to Babbacombe Model Village & Gardens, a delightful miniature village showcasing England’s iconic landmarks. Stroll through the beautiful gardens and enjoy the intricately designed model displays. Explore Babbacombe, including the Babbacombe Downs with its spectacular cliff-top views. Return to the hotel for evening entertainment and dinner.

Day 5: Return Journey

Friday 4th September – After breakfast, we depart the hotel for the journey home. Enjoy comfort stops en route to stretch your legs and refresh. Arrive back at your original pick-up points in the late afternoon/early evening.

You can enjoy buffet-style breakfasts including full English or continental choices. The TLH Derwent offers contemporary dining in its restaurant, with table d'hôte evening meals, a salad bar and a hot buffet. Leisure facilities include a sauna, steam room and hot tub and there is also a games area with 10-pin bowling, pool and ping-pong tables and a children’s playground. A daily activities programme includes snorkelling and aerobics. The Starlight Bar hosts vibrant evening entertainment, with a mix of cabaret and live acts.
